How Is An American Rottweiler Different From A German & Roman Rottie?

American Rottweiler Vs. German Rottweiler Vs. Roman Rottweiler

The Rottweiler is a breed of large domestic dog. In German, they were known as Rottweiler Metzgerhund, meaning ‘Rottweil butchers,’ as they were mainly used to herd livestock and pull carts laden with butchered meat to market until the mid-19th century when railways replaced driving. However, Rottweilers are still used to herd stocks in several parts of the world. They are now also used as search and rescue dogs, guards dogs, and police dogs.
